High needs funding • Mainstream academies to meet the first £10,000 of cost through AWPU and Notional SEN • Funding for special and alternative provision (AP) academies is for the number of agreed places: • Special places funded at £10,000 per agreed place • AP places funded at an increased rate of £10,000 per place in 2015 to 2016, subject to consultation • 2014 to 2015 place numbers used as the basis for 2015 to 2016 • Top-up paid by Local Authorities (LAs) for additional costs • Education Services Grant (ESG) paid at £595 per special place and £525 per AP place
