  4. Data Story #1 How many people do you think died? How much money did it cost in damages? Hurricane Katrina was the costliest and one of the deadliest hurricanes in American History. Damages exceeded $50 BILLION and fatalities exceeded 1300.

  5. Compared to Hurricane Irene of 2011 How many people do you think died? How much money did it cost in damages An estimated 40 people died About 3.5 million customers were without power; that’s about 9 million people. Damages exceeded $7 billion.
