  2. October 22nd – 25th 201258 children and 9 members of staff made the journey to Shropshire!

  3. We were in Ironbridge to learn more about the Victorians and their legacy. The Iron bridge was the first of its kind to be built anywhere in the world! It was built by Abraham Derby III in 1779.

  4. Coal Fired steam engines played a major role in the Industrial revolution.

  5. We learnt how bricks were made by children in the Victorian times.

  6. We all dressed as Victorian school children and had a Victorian lesson. It was very hard writing on the slates and the teacher was really strict!

  7. Even the adults got to dress as Victorians!

  8. Blists Hill Victorian Town has been recreated to give an experience of what it was really like to live in the Victorian times.

  9. Life was much harder then!

  10. Even the Youth Hostel we stayed in was a Victorian building – it was originally where the china was painted.
