  2. Site Program • Limit Activity on the Site for Privacy • Beautify Area • Provide Barrier from Railroad Tracks • Low Maintenance

  3. Design Solutions • Provide Natural Barrier to Prohibit Activity behind Residential Units • Provide Natural Buffer along Railroad Track to Block Views and Reduce Sound Pollution • Provide Ornamental Streetscape to add AestheticValue to site • Promote awareness of site’s history

  4. Natural Area/Buffer • Buffer consisting of natural and dense vegetation would prohibit access to areas near housing units • Plant Palette would include species that help purify and restore the soil to it’s original properties • Buffer would require low maintenance

  5. Railroad Buffer • Use of Large Trees along Railroad Tracks would block view of Trains and provide a sound barrier to reduce noise • Tree Buffer would include under story vegetation and dense shrub border to prevent access to tracks for safety reasons • Requires low maintenance

  6. Street Trees • Use of Ornamental Trees along street would enhance aesthetic value of site • Provides a positive experience for people driving by site • Increases value to surrounding context • Adds another layer of vegetation from Railroad Track

  7. Site Use • Green Lawn could be used for short-term recreation and/or future development • Area may be established for educational use such a plaque or informational kiosk about site’s history and redevelopment stages

  8. Program • Limit Activity on the Site for privacy • Provide Barrier from Railroad Tracks • Low Maintenance • Beautify Area
