  9. NoC Benchmarking WG Update Erno Salminen(Tampere University Technology), October 04, 2012

  10. Recent activities Modification to Transaction Generator (TG) and ExecutionMonitor at TUT Easier setup, clearer error messages etc. Student group working with Accurate DRAM Model (ADM) at KTH Result will go into a conference article Most people have stopped attending our telcos Future plans 10

  11. Future plans • Workgroup discussed the future plans during the summer and last GSC meeting • Traffic models remain as main focus • Next version of MCSL should be ready by the end of year • Next release of TG – ” – • Refinement of available models during the winter • Profiling of EEMBC applications currently stalled 11

  12. Future plans (2) System modeling in general was considered too laborious, except ADM Comparisons may come to play at some point New features into NoC was considered to be out of scope We would need new people or the activity will approach zero 12

  13. 11:30- 11:40 PM: Call to Order, Introductions, Agenda Review, Last Minutes11:40- 11:50 PM: Next GSC Meeting (Ian)11:50- 12:10 AM: NoC BWG Update (Erno) - Schedule Update for existing goals 12:10- 12:30 AM: System Level Design WG Update (Mark/James) - Schedule Update for existing goals - OCP 3.0 Support Update12:30- 12:50 AM: Metadata WG Update (Prashant) - Schedule Update for existing goals 12:50- 01:00 AM: Motion to Adjourn/ Break/ Reconvene 01:00- 01:20 AM: FVWG Discussion (Gabriele) - Schedule Update for existing goals 01:20- 01:40 AM: Specification WG Status (Drew) - Update on OCP 3.1 Member Review (Drew) - What’s Next and Schedule? (Drew)01:40- 01:55 AM: Administrative Update (Joe / Ian)

  14. SLD Working Group Update Mark Burton (Greensocs), October 04, 2012

  15. Release made: Group ‘reviving’ The long slumber is coming to an end. There is considerable interest to move forward with IPXACT There are possible new members of the group We still have no definitive plan on an eda compatibility release. However, Summertime is always slow, and we have some difficulties finding time slots when everybody is available during the summer. 15

  16. The SLD Mid-Term Vision - unchanged NO JOKE - our kit IS high quality, and that is maybe the problem – it is rather too stable! OUR KIT IS HIGH QUALITY, AND STABLE.. Ensure that OCP users have a 'complete' modelling infrastructure available multiple levels of abstraction (pure-functional to cycle-accurate) and use models (software development, architecture exploration, etc) completeness means bus interface, performance monitoring interface ,system debug interface and configuration interface Make this modelling infrastructure standards compliant. E.g. drive existing OCP-IP experience and expertise into OSCI-TLM Maintain alignment between OSCI-TLM OCP-IP

  17. 11:30- 11:40 PM: Call to Order, Introductions, Agenda Review, Last Minutes11:40- 11:50 PM: Next GSC Meeting (Ian)11:50- 12:10 AM: NoC BWG Update (Erno) - Schedule Update for existing goals 12:10- 12:30 AM: System Level Design WG Update (Mark/James) - Schedule Update for existing goals - OCP 3.0 Support Update12:30- 12:50 AM: Metadata WG Update (Prashant) - Schedule Update for existing goals 12:50- 01:00 AM: Motion to Adjourn/ Break/ Reconvene 01:00- 01:20 AM: FVWG Discussion (Gabriele) - Schedule Update for existing goals 01:20- 01:40 AM: Specification WG Status (Drew) - Update on OCP 3.1 Member Review (Drew) - What’s Next and Schedule? 18. Metadata WG Update Prashant Karandikar(T.I.), October 04, 2012

  19. Metadata WG Status

  20. IP-XACT Enhancement Propose and drive modifications into IP-XACT standard Release IP-XACT support for OCP3.1 Status : OCP-IP requirement for support for configurable bus interfaces has been accepted for implementation & validation stage which is expected to continue till Q2-2013. OCP-IP requirement is binned along with other conditional elements like conditional instances (and many more conditional elements in component/design) It would be at least Q4 2013 for new IEEE version to be available. OCP3.1 absdef/busdef are available , would be able to release as soon as OCP3.1 final version is available (provided no changes from member review version ). 20

  21. MetaData Format Provide Translators between rtl.conf & IP-XACT converter Maintain and Enhance OCP Checkers to support OCP3.1 Track & Adopt next Accellera/IEEE1685 version Implement extensions for TLM Status Talked with FVWG for additional Cache Coherency Checks Cache coherency Checks has system wide impact. FVWG to include the checker if it’s part of specification. Package to include OCP3.0/3.1 configuration checkers , integration checkers & rtlconf2ipxact translator is created & available in SVN. Next IEEE1685 version may not be available till end of 2013. Conditional Bus Interface & TLM2 enhancement both are accepted for implementation & validation stage. Discussion ongoing with SLD WG on using MetaData Format 21
