  3. The percentage of students who attended a daily physical education class has dropped from 42% in 1991 to 28% in 2003 Is P.e. class not fun anymore?

  4. Parents you need to help! • 95% of parents nationwide said that physical education should be included in the school curriculum for all students in kindergarten through grade 12

  5. More than 75% of parents and teachers believe that school boards should not eliminate physical education for budgetary reasons or because of the need to meet stricter academic standards Parents and teachers agree!

  6. Surgeon general recommendations • 1. help kids stay active • 2. Encourage healthy eating habits • 3. Promote healthy choices

  7. Ask yourself this • “Is your Little Leaguer so fat his blood type is Cheetos? Do the other kids wait for your Cub Scout to jump in the pool so they can ride the wave?” • -Rick Reilly
