  2. What is SSSM? • It is Integrated Social Security Mission • An Umbrella organization for all social security programmes irrespective of Departments • To provide technical and administrative support • It provides IT enabled service delivery

  3. Why SSSM? • Central and State Governments run different schemes for the benefit of its citizens, especially labour , BPL families, senior citizens, widows, weaker sections and disabled persons. • For better convergence of these schemes and proper delivery • To bring about financial similarity between the schemes, single service delivery point for similarly placed schemes • For better monitoring and transparency.

  4. Objective of the Mission • Standardization and rationalization of schemes and benefits • Simplification of rules and procedures • Transparency and digitized information of Beneficiaries • To provide services to the beneficiaries at one place and by one person for same type of benefits irrespective of department • Creating awareness of the schemes of government among masses

Groupings • Samgra has grouped the beneficiary oriented schemes into three groups : • Social Justice: Pension, Insurance, Marriage, Death assistance. • Health: JananiSurksha and other health schemes • School Education: Scholarships Sc/ST/OBC/ Minority/Disabled/ Merit/General Category poor • IT support : Transparency and Database

  6. How to GO about? • Data base :- All Departments have the data base of there beneficiaries • These data bases don't talk to each other • Converging these data base and creating a strong data base is mammoth task • Decided to use National Population Register since it identifies the person with family • Went for our own data base without NPR

  7. Why Consolidated Data Base? • Different departments provide benefits to their targeted beneficiaries under different scheme and sanctioned by their respective department even though beneficiaries are at one roof. • To avoid duplication, wider reach, beneficiary assessment and also for transparency. • This database cut across departments and it will be unique and all inclusive database which can be used for all departments.
