  5. This Year • We will start off by teaching core Biology (Biology 1),moving onto additional biology around Easter time of 2015. • Help can be found at the AQA website. • Select subjects and science • Biology from the left hand panel. • You will find specifications, which tell you everything you need you need to know. • Practise exam materials • Updates about the course.

  6. Our lessons • We will do 2 hours of learning which should allow us to get through 3 lessons worth of work. You will then be given homework to consolidate the learning. • It is vital homework is bought in every week as we do not have the time to cover all necessary content in the lesson times. Homework will extend and complete knowledge, pairs with personal study time at home. • During sessions we will do a mixture of practical experiments, taught work and controlled assessment. Near exam time we will do preparation for the exams. • Controlled assessment (ISA’s – investigative skills assessment) • When we do ISA’s you will be told in advance. It is vital that you are here every week especially when doing ISA’s. If you miss a session whilst we are doing an ISA you will not be able to join in again until it has been completed!

  7. Textbooks • The textbook will depend on the subjects you choose. • Each double page spread covers 1 lesson. We will be covering between 2 and 3 lessons per session. • You will need to use your textbooks for homework and to consolidate your lessons learning
