Grading Philosophy • 80% of the grade will reflect a student’s performance in common assessments and long-term assignments • 20% of the grade will reflect a student’s performance on short-term assignments, notebooks, homework, and classwork • Quarterly grading and report cards • Midterm and final • PowerSchool is updated weekly and is an important tool that allows both the student and parent to monitor student progress and performance

Special Education • The special education program at Haverford Middle School includes a variety of programs and services to meet the varied needs of students who have been identified as exceptional. The goal is to educate students in the least restrictive environment. The curriculum is the same as the general education curriculum. The materials used are supplemented in order to work more intensely on specific skills.
