  2. ePROCUREMENT IN SME BANK (INTRODUCTION) • Roll-Out plan under Transformation programme • eProcurement – Web-based portal system where suppliers submit price & participate thru online bidding • System developed by Privasia Sdn Bhd • Modelled after IWK portal • Portal setup & development works started 1st Oct 2010 • Went LIVE on 1st Nov 2010 • Portal: www.procurehere.net/smebank • Managed by Procurement , a newly-developed function under HCDS BACKGROUND of ePROCUREMENT

  3. PROCUREMENT ACTIVITIES IN SME BANK • Acquisition of Non-Core Goods and Services by certain function ie. Cost Centers • Key Cost Centers: • Property (Renovation, Fixed Assets Purchase, Services etc) • ICT (Hardware, Network, Software, IT services) • Strategic Communication (Exhibition,Advertising,Gifts etc) • Training • Business Advisory Center (BAC) • Branches • Total estimate of procurement value : RM15 – 20 mil per annum PROCUREMENT ACTIVITIES

IMPLEMENTATION STAGES Phase 1 (1st Oct – 1st Nov 2010) • Portal Setup & Development works • Training to Key Users ( 4 Procurement staff) • Training to Panel Suppliers & Vendors (110) • User Acceptance Test (UAT) Phase 2 (1st Nov – 31st Dec 2010) • Integration to financial Tech One • Transfer from eP into Purchase Requisition (PR) in Tech One • Customization works (few features upgrade)

KEY FEATURES OF SME BANK eP PORTAL • Set Up Request-For-Quotations (RFQ) / Tender Notices • Monitor Supplier Registration & Performance • View Real Time Bidding via Auction Console • Generate Report for Evaluation & Decision • Budget Monitoring For Suppliers • Able to submit prices • Attach supporting files (pdf, autocad,excel, jpeg etc)

CONCLUSION • All procurement activities hence, shall be centralized to eProcurement. • eProcurement as a fully transparent way of soliciting supplier’s price & participation, thus help in generating Savings • Enhance efficiency (cutting down project life cycle; cut red tape) • Geared to achieve targeted 20% – 30% Saving rates off procurement value.
