  3. Unique Academic Model Ascension Arts Akademy is a grassroots community-based school whereparents are encouraged to participate in teaching similar to ahomeschooling environment. The school uses a mixed-grade level model where older students mentoryounger, and younger learn from older. Teachers teach the group as awhole, and then differentiate the lesson for each student's level. We pride ourselves in teaching children that the source of knowledgeis foremost inside self. Students are taught above grade level and only mastery of knowledge is accepted.

  4. Unique Academic Model (continued) We teach them how to learn versus just what to learn so that they canuse critical thinking skills to discern for themselves. Lessons are taught using real-world scenarios so children learn howschool applies to real life. Subjects are integrated as whole for student self-discovery versus being taught in disconnected fragments as in public schools.
