You must be registered with the state to sign up for VBS. • Electronic Invoicing • Required for STC vendors • Optional for all other vendors • What is it? • Tool that enables vendors to electronically “flip” a purchase order into an invoice and send it electronically to the state. • Register for electronic invoicing if . . . • You want to receive electronic purchase orders and submit electronic invoices to the state. The ability to receive electronic invoices requires registration on the Ariba Supplier Network (ASN). • How to register . . . • Log onto www.myflorida.com • Click on the Business link • Click on Doing Business with the State. • Click on Vendor Business System (VBS). • Select the link “Electronic Notification”. • Scroll down to “Add E-mail Notification”. • Select “S” or “F” (Social Security Number (SSN) or FEIN), enter SSN or FEIN and your 3-digit sequence number. • Once your record is retrieved, enter contact information and select “Save Vendor Info” button. • NOTE: If you do not know your sequence number, the system allows you to search for it by selecting the link “Search for a vendor to add”. • 1. Basic Registration - Log onto http://supplier.ariba.com • and click on “Register Here” in the middle of the screen. • Follow the on-line instructions. Note that basic • registration requires a DUNS number. You can obtain a free DUNS number by calling 1-888-814-1435. Tell the representative that the number will be used to do business with the government. • Configuration - This step allows you to select how you would like to receive your purchase orders. After completing basic registration, log into your Ariba account, and select the link for “Technical Settings” under “Configuration”. • Become a Trading Partner - Call the MyFloridaMarketPlace Customer Service Desk at 1-866-FLA-ePro and tell them that you have registered in Ariba and want to become a State of Florida Trading Partner.
