  2. Bee • The bee was caught about half way up Mt Jerra, while lounging around on the ground. • It was caught by Matilda • A bee is a hymenoptera, they have a narrow wasp waist, and are supplied with a stinger • It was a perfect specimen

  3. Ant!?!??!!? • This was a strange specimen, for it had a bee’s abdomen • An ant is meant to have 3 body parts, 6 legs and pincers • The scientific name for its family group is Hymenoptera • It was found by Jenny

  4. Termites • A termite is an Acarina • These termites were found by Caitlin! • They are also known as a white ant • These are soldier Termites • It has no pincers but very similar to an ant
