  1. Akhilesh Srivastava at Annual Roads & Highways Forum on Roads of the Future The International Road Federation (IRF), a non-profit organisation in Geneva, along with Marcus Evans Group is jointly hosting the 4th Annual Roads & Highways forum, a three-day conference. The conference will be held at the Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel, Singapore, from 9th April to 11th April, 2018. The forum will highlight case studies on the initiative being taken by several nations for the roads and highways sectors, including design and development, engineering, funding, road safety, and smart mobility. The first two days of the conference will see distinguished speakers from around the globe share their innovative ideas. These ideas are going to provide insights on best practices and techniques being used by various countries and organisations to reshape the urban landscape. Several key stakeholders from the sector will shed light on their initiatives and ideas to modernise road transport and highways. The third and last day will include workshops, where the delegates will gain knowledge on structuring privately financed highway projects, identifying and managing risks, and developing performance-based operations and maintenance elements that are critical to highway projects. The main topics of discussion is divided into three broad panels, they are:  Road To Success: Leaders will discuss and share their experience on China’s One Belt One Road Initiative (OBOR) Smart Seats: Leaders will discuss driverless vehicles and the impact of Public-Private  Partnerships (PPP) on the development of roads and highways Brainstorm:Leaders will interact with the crowd on a case study on refinancing a PPP  project. Akhilesh Srivastava, Chief General Manager (IT & Highway Operations) of NHAI, will lead the Indian delegation to the forum and is one of the distinguished speakers at the event. He will take part in plenary discussions on OBOR under the “Road to Safety” category along with Frederic Blanc-Brude, Member Advisory Council of the World Bank Global Infrastructure

  2. Facility in Singapore, and Sheharyar Chughtai, Vice-President of Project Finance in the Korea Development Bank. They will share their analysis of the impact the OBOR project will have on the Subcontinent and the rest of Asia. He also will discuss in other sessions road engineering, maintenance and technology, and India’s highways modernisation drive. In more recent news, the Construction Industry Development Council (CIDC) conferred a Vishwakarma Award for lifetime achievement in the Public Officer category on Akhilesh Srivastava, for his efforts in catalysing the government’s drive to modernise and digitalise the highways sector, his efforts in integrating IT into highway projects, and others. #AkhileshSrivastava #4thAnnualRoadsAndHighways #HighwayOperations
