  2. Current deployment of IPv6 • Basic hardware and services are supporting IPv6. • IPv6 connection services by ISPs. • Router • Software and applications? • Operating systems and DNS started adapting to IPv6.

  3. Applications • Currently Web, telnet, ftp can run on IPv6. • Mails • Some software is already available for SMTP, POP and IMAP based on IPv6. • However! • Very few applications are available on IPv6. • Less so in commercially available software on IPv6.
