LinkedIn Why use LinkedIn? • The world’s largest professional networking site • One of the most important tools employers use to find new employees • Provides an easy way to promote yourself and build your network • Allows you to easily collect information on companies you want to work for and prepare for your interviews • Allows you to find people, like you, and connect with them through the system without needing their email address

  6. LinkedIn Adding Connections • LinkedIn makes it easy to add new and existing contacts, known as connections. To add a connection, go to Connections. A list of people you may know will appear. If you find someone you'd like to add, select Connect. You can then add a custom message and click Send. You'll be able to see your total number of connections on your profile page Video: How to Add Connections on LinkedIn

  7. LinkedIn Finding Jobs • LinkedIn allows employers to post job openings to the site. Search for jobs with the Job Search tool. • Or, reach out to employers by following different companies on the LinkedIn network.
