  16. First Driver: The Passive House • Construction project still to be confirmed • Central location near Brussels with easy access for target group visits • Communication strategy to be in place once go ahead is confirmed

  17. The Passive House: communication Two phases of communication • First phase – Construction • Outlining where and how polyurethanes are used and why they are best • Outlining cost vs. savings expected • Second phase – Living in a passive house • Outlining sustainability of house • Outlining actual savings • Outlining life in a passive house • Focusing on comfort and versatility

  18. Second Driver: Retailer & brand owner outreach • Continue one-on-one meetings and relationship building • Based on updated de-selection strategy/coordination PU Sustainability Cluster • Collect information, understand concerns • New material – Handout for the retailers and brand owners for polyurethanes • Hybrid document (Brochure/factsheet) including issues such as migration and emission • Plain english summary of 2011 study on TDI • New online activity: a blog, talking about end user products made out of PU

  19. Energy efficiency study • Need for a study* that shows cost efficiency of insulation installation • „Way forward“ solutions for policymakers in an increasingly green legislative framework • Study would be driver for media coverage, outreach on energy efficiency and possibly dinner debate or event *Cooperation of ISOPA‘s Sustainability cluster and PU Europe

  20. Events for 2011 • Event participation • Continuation of dinner debates • Target of participation at EU Sustainable Energy Week or Green Week + two other EU events • PUTECH Eurasia and PU India  Bring example of campaign to international level • New Stand • Similar house backdrop but with more permanent feature of comfort applications such as a sofa • Visual guide to the cold food chain incorporated into stand • Sponsoring of targeted events • Monitor events, initiatives that ISOPA could support • Support relevant events to profile ISOPA

  21. Other website activities for 2011 • Blog • Video section • “How to … Polyurethanes” • Grow attention by focusing on most common Google/Youtube search • Raise PU profile among users • Use construction of PU house for films • Interactive feature to illustrate PU’s role in the cold food chain
