  1. The Prayer of Jesus: Living The Lord’s Prayer By Ken Hemphill Lesson Four: 3 Requests From The Prayer of Jesus

  2. [11] Give us this day our daily bread, [12] and forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. [13] And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. (Matthew 6:11-13 ESV)

  3. Prayer Request: Our Bodies What is the MAIN purpose in God supplying our human needs? “We are NOT self-seeking when we ask the Father to meet our physical, emotional, and spiritual needs. We are merely asking for the strength needed to fulfill our Kingdom responsibility.”

  4. Prayer Request: Our Bodies What are the top 3 needs you have: Physically, Emotionally, Spiritually, & Relationally?

  5. Prayer Request: Our Bodies Read: 1 Corinthians 10:31 & 1 Timothy 4:4 How can an ordinary meal turn into an opportunity to glorify God? Recently, how has God demonstrated that He cares about the most ordinary matters in your life?

  6. Prayer Request: Our Bodies Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? And which of you by being anxious can add a single hour to his span of life? And why are you anxious about clothing?

  7. Prayer Request: Our Bodies Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin, yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is alive and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? (Matthew 6:26-30 ESV)

  8. Prayer Request: Our Bodies And the LORD said to Moses, “I have heard the grumbling of the people of Israel. Say to them, ‘At twilight you shall eat meat, and in the morning you shall be filled with bread. Then you shall know that I am the LORD your God.’” (Exodus 16:11-12 ESV) What does God want to teach us about relying on His daily provisions?

  9. Prayer Request: Our Bodies Would learning to rely on God for His daily provision effect how we help (give) to those in need? Why or Why Not?

  10. Prayer Request: Our Souls Read Deuteronomy 31:18, Psalm 66:18, & Isaiah 59:2 What are the effects of sin on our relationship with God?

  11. Prayer Request: Our Souls If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us. (1 John 1:8-10 ESV)

  12. Prayer Request: Our Souls What is the difference between an apology & repentance? How would you know that you expressed to God a true confession?

  13. Prayer Request: Our Souls So if you are offering your gift at the altar and there remember that your brother has something against you, leave your gift there before the altar and go. First be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift. (Matthew 5:23-24 ESV)

  14. Prayer Request: Our Souls bearing with one another and, if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive. (Colossians 3:13 ESV) What is our motivation for forgiving others?

  15. Prayer Request: Our Souls Who do you need to release from their debt of sin against you? What is keeping you from forgiving them? Pause now and ask God to give you a forgiving heart

  16. Prayer Request: Our Obedience Let no one say when he is tempted, “I am being tempted by God,” for God cannot be tempted with evil, and he himself tempts no one. But each person is tempted when he is lured and enticed by his own desire. Then desire when it has conceived gives birth to sin, and sin when it is fully grown brings forth death. (James 1:13-15 ESV)

  17. Prayer Request: Our Obedience No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it. (1 Corinthians 10:13 ESV)

  18. Prayer Request: Our Obedience He rescued me from my strong enemy and from those who hated me, for they were too mighty for me. They confronted me in the day of my calamity, but the LORD was my support. (Psalm 18:17-18 ESV)

  19. Prayer Request: Our Obedience Little children, you are from God and have overcome them, for he who is in you is greater than he who is in the world. (1 John 4:4 ESV)

  20. Prayer Request: Our Obedience Sooooooo?
