Wyndham CEC local context • Third fastest growing LGA in Australia • The official forecasted population for Wyndham City is 192,337 as at June 30, 2014 • Between 2001 and 2012, the estimated residential population of the City has more than doubled from 84,861 to 178,859 • Estimated residential population set to exceed 245,000 people by 2021 • 54,400 people who were living in the City of Wyndham in 2011 were born overseas, and 31% arrived in Australia within 5 years prior to 2011 • Source: Wyndham City Council

Partnership with WHN enables Council to: • Have a deeper understanding than Census figures provide • Engage with marginalised residents • Plan and deliver more responsive Council services • Promote inclusion through shared projects • Council’s continuing commitment to WHN: • Co-ordination and planning as required (recognising that service providers are flat-out providing services) • In-kind contributions to projects • Taking on advocacy on issues as required
