  3. Example: 35 x 18 Tens Ones Tens Ones

  4. Break apart 35 and 18 into tens and ones. 30 5 10 8

  5. Once you have broken the numbers apart, multiply them. 30 5 10 30 x 10 = 300 10 x 5 = 50 30 x 8 = 240 8 x 5 = 40 8

  6. Once you have multiplied the numbers, add up all of the products. 30 5 300 50 240 +40 630 300 50 10 8 240 40
