  1. 2012 DECLARATIONS • I understand that my life’s results will be a by-product of my choices; therefore I will expect what I consistently reflect. • I understand that I make the best decisions when the subject matter is fully illuminated. In short, I need to stop dressing in the dark.

  2. Matthew 11:1-6 • After Jesus had finished instructing his twelve disciples, he went on from there to teach and preach in the towns of Galilee. • 2When John heard in prison what Christ was doing, he sent his disciples 3 to ask him, “Are you the one who was to come, or should we expect someone else?”

  3. 4Jesus replied, “Go back and report to John what you hear and see: • 5The blind receive sight, the lame walk, those who have leprosy are cured, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, and the good news is preached to the poor. • 6Blessed is the man who does not fall away on account of me.”

  4. Putting Order In My SpacePart IIIThe Cream Always Rises To the TOP

  5. The Prize is Precious and Priceless • Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize. (1 Co. 9:24) • Success is not a matter of chance but a matter of choice! • So what’s the prize, and who is in the best position to help me get there? Who should I draft to be on my team to help me win?

  6. Winning The Prize • Aaron Rodgers- My #1 pick… He is used to being passed over. He was not offered any scholarships coming out of high school and began his college career at Butte Community College. Why? He attributed the relative lack of attention in the recruiting process to his unimposing physical stature as a high school player at 5'10 and 165 lbs. • Tom Brady- He is usedto being passed up as well. When he arrived at Michigan, he was 7th on the depth chart and played back up for two years behind Brian Griese. Who? Exactly! Brady was the199th pick which was in the the 6th round. • Drew Breese-Brees' college success led to projections that he would be a mid-to-late first round draft pick in the 2001 NFL Draft, but he slipped due to concerns about his relatively short stature for a professional quarterback (6'0"), a perceived lack of arm strength, and a sense that he had succeeded in college in a spread offense. He was picked 32nd and after two seasons the San Diego Chargers drafted Philip Rivers leaving Drew to look for work elsewhere.

  7. Our Eyes Play Tricks On Us • So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal. (2 Co 4:18) • Our eyes, along with the rest of our senses are great for picking out someone who may bring a temporary buzz, but few times have they been attributed in ensuring long term success. • Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as braided hair and the wearing of gold jewelry and fine clothes. Instead, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God’s sight. (1 Peter 3:3-4)

  8. Don’t Miss The Boat…. • Brothers, think of what you were when you were called. Not many of you were wise by human standards; not many were influential; not many were of noble birth. 27But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong. (1 Co. 1:26,27) What does God know that we apparently don’t? That having a humble person who gives credit to God for their success is far more appealing to have in your life than someone who boast about what He/she has done alone!

  9. John –Questioned The Validity of Jesus • John is in jail for preaching the Kingdom of God and begins to question whether he should keep Jesus on his draft board or pass him up for the next latest and greatest thing ….. • His questions arise because of inconveniences. He doesn’t like what he sees, feels, or how he looks in others eyes while being associated with Jesus.. • Do things like cars, money, or outward beauty cloud your association with people who could and would love you and appreciate you for a lifetime? Do you pass up on people because of height, weight, and draft a Philip Rivers and let Drew Brees go?

  10. Jesus –Cream Rises • Jesus lays out his case.. • Go tell John what you see and hear…. (They saw Him consistently doing things that please God…. (John 8:29) (1) Cream always rises to the top because because of its “Consistency” • The blind see, the lamb walk, the deaf hear… (2) Cream rises to the top because of its “Competency” • Blessed is the man who does not “fall away” because of me. The cream rises because (3) It “Compliments” my walk with God’s plan and doesn’t detract, inhibit, or hinders me executing His plan for me.

  11. You are Up Next • You have to pick people in your life that will help you win the eternal prize of life to the full until it overflows…. (St John 10:10) • Choose Cream and Be Cream Because • Consistency • Competence • Compliment
