  1. BVDV in a dairy herd in Kiambu district Kamande P.I. (2012) SUPERVISOR: DR. T.O.ABUOM ABSTRACT This study was conducted to estimate the frequency of Bovine Viral Diarrhoea virus in dairy cattle in Central province, Kenya. Of the 49 samples collected, 45.65% were positive for antibodies to BVDV. All ages of cattle were affected but the frequency was highest in cattle 1-5 years old. The prevalence was also higher in females than males. The results of theis study revealed that there is BVD in cattle in Central province Kenya.
