Goal(s) The over goal for this presentation is to develop a better sense of team work and team building in our classrooms using the methods of problem solving, critical thinking, and commutation skills while our students are kinetically involved. These equipment and software is what I believe would become a great essential of aid for our program as well as great resources for our teachers, coaches, and after school sports programs to get our students and athletes the team building skills to be then carried into their adulthood. With the team work and team building skills we can also have a school become more at peace with their fellow students. This in a way can be another outsource to prevent bullying in our school system. By student working with each other and learning to stand out for their fellow student, the rate of bullying in our school will completely diminish over time. Student will be more comfortable standing up for their fellow students when already having team building and team working skills

  4. “Snowballs” • White foam balls • Hand-held size • Coated-foam • Lightweight • Easy for throwing and gripping • Purpose: An alterative for another source of foam balls to be used in the gym. • Use/Value: Softer balls to use when using these balls for passive contact sport such as dodge ball • Where to buy: GopherSport.com • Cost: $$

Pinnies • Helps to divide class into teams • Team have their own colors for identification • Intermediate sports during or after school programs • Lightweight • Fits any size student • Tie on belts • Purpose: to aid in team sport in a classroom for better identification of teams • Use/Value: To have students understand who’s on “their team” and start to develop team building skills for the task at hand, • Where to buy: GopherSport.com • Cost: $$$

Yuki-Ball • Based on the game Yukigassen (Japanese for "snow battle") • Players on offense work to capture the flag or eliminate opponents with white foam "snowballs", while defenders protect their flag and replenish snowballs for their teammates. • All players use barriers as protection. • The first team to capture the opponent's flag or to completely eliminate the other team wins! • Set includes: 90 soft coated-foam balls, 7 barriers (six 36"W x 36"H and one 72"W x 36"H), 2 flags, 2 vinyl cones, 8 pinnies, 6 waist pinnies, 2 buckets, 3 rolls of floor tape, and activity instructions.  • Purpose: To teach team work plus a little history of the Japanese culture • Use/Value: A great tool to be used in the classroom to incorporate teamwork and tactical skills in a classroom using this fun game. • Where to buy: GopherSport.com • Cost:$795.00 (everything included)

Wrap-up • So with the Yuki-ball system and the team building DVD, we can better our student's relationship with each other that they can take this fun experience and carry it with them into adulthood. Using this fun game to teach students the essentials of team work, it can create an impact in their work life to think critically and helping others do the same. Leadership skills can also be developed when playing this fun game. The DVD can provide more of an enrich atmosphere for the students when Yuki-Ball cannot be played. Over all the equipment and software will help improve the team work and team building skills the students will need in order to create a better outlook on life and to stand up against a challenge knowing your fellow students are right there beside them.
