Words Elementary Vehicle Miniature Probability Definition Substitute Variety Literature Elevator Pennsylvania Ravioli Cafeteria Mosaic Tuxedo Meteorite Fascination Cylinder Intermediate Centennial Curiosity Challenge Documentary Stegosaurus Pediatrician Mediocre Simultaneous Reading –Our story this week is “Three Century Women.” Vocabulary words are intersection, severe, spectacles, eerie, pondered, withered. Language Arts- We are beginning our study of adjectives. If your child is having difficulty in language, ask them to bring home their language book nightly to review what we have done in class. Science- Students will continue their study of plate tectonics, earthquakes, and volcanoes. Test Friday. Math Students will continue in geometry with lines and angles. Students will find the radius, diameter, and circumference of circles as well as classify polygons based on their faces, edges, and vertices. Math Superstars Lesson XV is today and lesson XVI is due on Friday. Social Studies – We will complete our study of World War 2 (Chapter 8)by completing a take home test which is due on Wednesday. Our 3rd nine weeks project was assigned on Friday, February 3. It will be due Tuesday, February 28. Please ask your child about the project. An explanation sheet was sent home. JUST A REMINDER… February is “Read Across America” month. February 23rdLelanStatom, Meteorologist visits February 28th Social Studies projects are due. February 29th Nashville Zoo visits.
