  1. Report to Patient Voice Group Meeting from SRC Board Representative, Juliet Hanfling 28 March 2012

South Reading Consortium Board • Meets monthly • Has clinical representatives (mainly GPs) from each of the 20 surgeries which are invited to participate in the Patient Voice Group • Is led by a Management Executive Group (including Elizabeth Johnston and Zoe Clarke) who are currently re-elected annually

  3. SRC Board I have attended 1 meeting as the representative from the Patient Voice Group since our last meeting: 14/03/12. I have also attended a Communications and Engagement Strategy meeting on 06/03/12 and a Patient Voice Group agenda setting meeting on 20/03/12

  4. Board Meeting of 14/03/12 Items discussed at this meeting included: • Identifying which surgeries are still not sending patients to the PV group • An update on the financial situation of the CCG (also referred to in tonight’s meeting by EJ) • The constitution of the new CCG which is being drawn up with legal advice

  5. Board Meeting of 14/03/12 (contd) • The future work plan for each area within the federation: S Reading - long term conditions Newbury - planned care NW Reading – unplanned care Wokingham – Joint commissioning and specialist commissioning

  6. Board Meeting of 14/03/12 (contd) • There was an update on which surgeries have the highest take up on flu vaccine within S Reading, also which targets are met (eg the number of smoking quitters) or not (eg take up of MMR vaccine) within S Reading.

  7. Communications and Engagement Strategy Meeting on 06/03/12 • The meeting included a review of the strengths and weaknesses etc of the current communication methods in order to ensure a higher level of engagement and a more efficient flow of information between the CCG and the public. • The various interested parties were listed and ranked according to their level of importance and influence.

  8. Patient Voice Group agenda setting meeting on 20/03/12 This meeting focussed on how to make the PVG meetings more popular and how to attract a greater number of patients. It was agreed that all those patients who have attended in the past should be contacted to ask why they no longer attend.
