O.S.C.A.R. December 16, 2008. What is O.S.C.A.R?. Used to get film strips, videos, DVD’s, etc from the AIU. By the year 2010, the AIU will no longer be distributing videos or DVD’s. The county is working on a high speed network that all schools will be connected to.

What is O.S.C.A.R? • Used to get film strips, videos, DVD’s, etc from the AIU. • By the year 2010, the AIU will no longer be distributing videos or DVD’s. • The county is working on a high speed network that all schools will be connected to. • We will be using this network to get streaming videos for our classes.

O.S.C.A.R • To login to O.S.C.A.R you need to go to http://oscar.aiu3.net • If you have pop-up blocker enabled you will need to allow pop-ups for this site • Your username is 940.509.last 4 digits of your social • Your password is aiu3teacher • If your account does not work or you need an account created, let me know

  4. O.S.C.A.R • For now, you can still use O.S.C.A.R to get videos and DVD’s. • You can also get streaming video, audio, music downloads, and much more!

  5. Once logged in… • You can search the entire site for a specific topic.

  6. Searching with O.S.C.A.R • You can narrow your search by type of media and/or grade level.

  7. A search… • I did a search for Streaming Videos on Trigonometry…

  8. The results… Use this one until we are connected to the network and at home. Use this one after we are connected to the high speed network. This is a streaming video from Learn 360

  9. Discovery Education • Once you click on the Discovery Education video you would like you have several options. • Preview the video • Download the entire video • Download part of the video

  10. Discovery Education • If you are planning to use the streaming video in class it is recommended that you download the video and save it so that you know that it will be available when you need it.

  13. Learn 360 • Once you click • You are going to Learn 360’s site. • Here you will be able to preview and/or download all or part of the video just like Discovery Education.
