What did Jesus look like ? • “For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him.” Isaiah 53:2 • Jesus looked like any other man • He was ordinary in his appearance

  3. What did Jesus look like ? • No physical description • Images today are not accurate • Jesus was a Jew - dark skin, eyes, hair • Carpenter • Worked outside • Muscular enough to do the work If it were important God would have given it. Just an ordinary normal looking man.

  12. The Way, Truth and Life “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” John 14:6 Christ is the way of Salvation Accomplished by His own blood

  13. Head of the Church “And He put all things under His feet, and gave Him to be head over all things to the church, which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all.” Ephesians 1:22-23 God made Jesus head over the church

  14. Good Shepherd “I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd gives His life for the sheep.” John 10:11 The thief comes to kill, steal and destroy - v.10 Christ gave His life for the sheep. In Christ we have eternal life.

  15. Chief Cornerstone The church was “built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the chief cornerstone.” Ephesians 2:20 Church is a spiritual “building” Foundation = apostles and prophets Jesus - Chief Cornerstone

The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!” John 1:29 Precious blood of Lamb of God - 1 Pet. 1:18-19 “He was oppressed and He was afflicted, Yet He opened not His mouth; He was led as a lamb to the slaughter, And as a sheep before its shearers is silent, So He opened not His mouth.” Isaiah 53:7
