  3. The sacredness of human life is part of any moral vision for a just and good society

  4. We are our true selves when we relate well to others, not when we are isolated individuals

  5. People have a right, indeed a duty to participate in shaping a just and more humane society.

  6. The needs of the poor take priority over the needs of the rich…the environment over expansion…

  7. Solidarity: A firm and persevering determination to commit oneself to the good of all and each…

  8. We have responsibility to care for the world’s goods, and not primarily as consumers…

  9. Subsidiarity: No bigger than necessary, no smaller than appropriate..

  10. Given that people are created in the likeness of God, there is a radical equality among humans.

  11. The Common Good: Not the greatest good for the greatest number, but for the greatest good of all…
