  1. Credits Writer: Actors: Editors: Special Effects: Movie Title (or group name) Music? Other stuff? Picture for inspiration? Brief plot outline of your movie. (First this happens, then this happens. They do this, and then this happens and that’s the end.)

  2. How long will your scene last? 1 minute? 5? Act it out or talk out the script if you’re not sure! Describe Scene 1 • People • Props • Describe the shot (close up, far away, panning over an area, etc.) and what you’re filming (person doing this, dog jumping over a fence, whatever) Other Details Music, sound effects for this scene. This will help you when you are editing! To create a new text box, click on “Insert” in the toolbar, and then “Text Box”. You can also insert pictures, music clips, or clipart like this. To create your next slide, click “New Slide” in the toolbar. It will ask you what format you want, I’d pick one with lots of boxes already!

  3. How long will your scene last? 1 minute? 5? Act it out or talk out the script if you’re not sure! Describe Scene 2 • You could also include ideas for your setting (where will you film this? Keep in mind what we have access to during Tech Club!) • Describe the shot (close up, far away, panning over an area, etc.) and what you’re filming (person doing this, dog jumping over a fence, whatever) If you like the layout of a slide you made, you can Rclick the thumbnail of it on the left side of the screen, and select “Duplicate Slide” to get an exact copy! That’s how I did these slides. Other Details remember that silence can make something scarier or funnier! What are people saying and doing in the scene? What sounds would exist normally? Text Boxes can be edited by Rclicking on the line and selecting Format Shape (on the bottom) Change their shape and drag them around the screen so they work for you!

  4. How long will your scene last? 1 minute? 5? Act it out or talk out the script if you’re not sure! Describe Scene 3 • Don’t forget that filming a movie takes a lot of time. Even if you only have two three minute scenes, it might take a whole hour to film them how you want! What are some cool shots you could try? Panning, zooming, fading, shooting through windows or branches, from above or below. Think outside the box! What’s the most important scene in your movie? It should be near the end, but not the very end- unless you want a cliffhanger! Keep making slides until you’ve worked all the way through your plot.
