Harry Coumnas’ Next Novel Takes You through the Strange World of Real-Life Vampires A young horror author from The Philippines, Harry Coumnas is widely recognized for his socially conscious horror novels wherein he beautifully blends various elements of subjects, such as mythology, monsters, time-travel, after-life, etc. The strange, idiosyncratic characters in his novels & his unique style of writing make the whole reading experience extremely intriguing. A lot of his fiction work has also been adapted into documentaries. Harry Coumnasis now all set to launch his new book “The Real- Life Vampire”. Ever since Coumnas had shared with the media about his plans to write on the subject of Vampires, everyone had been eagerly waiting for his upcoming novel. Well, the wait is finally over as his much-awaited horror novel will soon be available in select book stores. During his interaction with the media yesterday, Coumnas shared what exactly made him write on Vampires. “While growing up, I was always fascinated with unusual things. I must have been around fifteen, when one of my best friends told me that she was a vampire & transforms into one by night. I never believed her until I saw the whole thing happening right in front of me. The most interesting part

  2. is that her revelation did not affect our friendship. In fact, we’re still best friends & will always be,” Harry was quoted as saying during the interview. Harry Coumnas also shared that his novel is inspired by his own experience with real-life vampires. While he was researching for the novel, his vampire friend introduced him to the community of vampires which lead a normal life like other humans in the day. During his interaction with them, he found out that though vampires feed on blood, they don’t believe in killing the innocent. In his horror novel, Coumnas has tried his best to show these beings’ compassionate side to the world.
