  4. Colossians 4:2-4 “2 Continue in prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving. 3Withal praying also for us, that God would open unto us a door of utterance, to speak the mystery of Christ, for which I am also in bonds: 4That I may make it manifest, as I ought to speak.” Scripture

  5. Continue in Prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving Command

  6. James 1:13-17 “13 Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man: 14 but every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. 15 Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death. 16 Do not err my beloved brethren. 17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.” Scripture

  7. 1 Thessalonians 5:17-18 “17 Pray without ceasing. In every thing give thanks: 18 for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.” Scripture

  8. POINT ONE When our prayers lack thanksgiving its focus shifts from God honoring and glorifying to becoming selfish and demanding.

  9. Three Focuses in Prayer Pray for your Pastors / Leaders Pray for open doors of utterance - opportunities to share the Gospel Pray to clearly present the Gospel

  12. Walk with wisdom toward them that are without Redeem the time Command

  13. POINT THREE We walk in wisdom to show the world what they are without. We redeem the time by sharing with others what they are missing.

  14. Colossians 4:6 “6 Let your speech be alway with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man.” Scripture

  15. Let your speech alway be with grace Seasoned with salt Command
