  1. My Sculpture! By Emily Hansen

What it's about • I decided to do a sculpture that included: • The Environment • Marine Biology • Dolphins • Birds • I wanted to include The Environment, because that is what I’m passionate about. I included Marine biology, because that is something I am fascinated about, and want to do when I grow up. I put a dolphin and a bird in because they are 2 of my favorite animals. • The little person on top is supposed to be me.

  3. Materials • These are the materials I used: • Polystyrene ball • Old cardboard box • Du Kit™Oven Bake Clay • Paint • Felt pen • Paper

  4. How I made It Ipainted my polystyrene ball blue, then added green for the countries. Then I left it to dry, and covered my box in paper. I then painted the box blue-green, painted bits of white for the waves, and painted a light yellow strip across the bottom for sand.

  5. How I made It After I had done that, I made the person out of clay. I pressed the legs into a round shape so that they would fit on the world. Then I made a turtle, seahorse, dolphin and tui. I put them all in the oven and baked them, so they set hard.

  6. How I made It Then I picked out some shells to glue on to the sand. I made the rainbow out of cardboard, and coloured it in with felt pens. I glued everything on to the base, and...

  7. TA-DAAA!!!! I hope you like my sculpture, I enjoyed making it!
