BEST LIBRARY PRACTICES • Collecting Notes from Alumni students for further distribution • Encouraging Alumni students to donate their books to the Library • Organized one day Orientation lecture series for Ph.D. students, Library Staff and Non Teaching Staff • Library staff participated in seminars organized for semi professionals and in house computer training programmes.

FUTURE PLANS FOR BEST PRACTICES • Creating Institutional Repository • Which will include ongoing research projects/theses in our college • Lecture notes/exam time table/ Notice/Short Notice • Information regarding upcoming seminars/conferences • Open Access Initiatives • To store open access journals link on one single platform so that the users can access it from anywhere/anytime through internet. • To Develop library networking of D.Y.Patil Group

  9. ……….Continued • Library on wheel: • Centralized availability of - general reading books-newspapers/magazines i.e. novels, story books, biographies of well known personalities, historical books etc. (to circulate rotationwise in each school) for staff/students. • Collection can be added – by donating books on Special occasions…birthday, in memory of… and so on.
