UKTI’s mission • UKTI is the lead Government department that helps UK based companies succeed in international markets and assist overseas companies to bring high quality investment to the UK • Support UK companies to grow their business through international trade; • connect UK business to the world’s top commercial opportunities; 2

They support businesses throughout the UK. • UKTI has more than 1,200 staff in over 100 overseas markets and around 400 people across UK regions, working locally to support UK businesses and overseas investors. • Here in the North East we currently have 17 International Trade Advisers, who provide free support and guidance • Our advisers also provide access to the full services of UKTI and are the link to UKTI staff in Embassies, Consulates and Trade Offices across the world UKTI has more than 1,200 staff in over 100 overseas markets. 3
