You don’t need to read the plays themselves, but it would be a good idea to look at one or two of the following: • The Cambridge Companion to Greek Tragedy edited by PE Easterling • Theatre in Ancient Greek Society by JR Green • A Guide to Greek Theatre and Drama by Kenneth McLeish • Images of the Greek Theatre by Richard Green and Eric Hendley • The Imagery of Euripides by Shirley A Barlow • Euripides Talks edited by Alan Beale All these books are in the Learning Centre, and may be available from your local library or even bookshop!
