  1. Next two IPAC conferences: • 2012 New Orleans (20 – 25 May, Morial Conference Center) • 2013 Shanghai (13 – 17 May) IPAC'10 Kyoto IPAC'11 San Sebastian IPAC'12 New Orleans IPAC'13 Shanghai IPAC'14 Dresden IPAC'15 Richmond • Format will closely follow IPAC’10 (Kyoto) and IPAC’11(San Sebastian) • Extensive use of SPMS • Publication of proceedings on JACoW • Organization of IPAC'12 is now well under way • Use of SPMS: • - call for abstracts, speaker selection, conference registration • - industrial exhibits, editorial desk, final publication, etc, etc • JACoW collaboration • JACoWcommunication

  2. The use of SPMS and JACoW for PAC/APAC/EPAC, and now IPAC, is well-established… • …but these facilities can easily be taken for granted. • PCO'sare sometimes resistant to using the SPMS. • OC, SPC and LOC chairs need to be made aware of the value of the SPMS, and the risks of using software that is not integrated. • Alternative publication methods have been discussed and rejected. • Alternatives raise concerns with cost, accessibility, quality control, and single integrated search facilities. • JACoW is an extremely valuable resource for the accelerator community. • The long-term sustainability of JACoW is a concern. • Labs are increasingly reluctant to commit resources (particularly staff effort). • The main questions we have are: • How can we help to promote the value of SPMS and JACoW for the accelerator community? • What can we do to help ensure the long-term sustainability of SPMS and JACoW?
