  2. John 17The Great High Priestly Prayer of our Lord!

  3. John 17:6-19John 17:17The Mechanics of the Disciples’ Protection - Sanctification.

  4. John 17:17,“Sanctify them in the sphere of Your Truth; Your Word (Bible Doctrine) is Truth.”

  5. Principles of Sanctification:(+S)Set apart, to make holy, purify, cleanse, consecrate.

  6. Sanctification Heaven Phase One Positional Ultimate Phase Three Phase Two Experiential Christian’s Life Death or Rapture

  7. b. Phase 2, “Experiential +S”This is for the believer only. It is the function of the spiritual life after salvation.

  8. Experiential +S depends on: a) Some degree of Yieldedness / Obedience to God. b) Some degree of separation from sin.c) Some degree of Christian growth which you have already attained.

  9. b) Result of Freedom from Sin. The Bible takes full account of the many sins of Christians. Rom 1:28-32; Gal 6:19-21; 2 Tim 3:1-9

  10. Yet, it does not teach that only sinless people are saved, or kept saved; on the contrary, it gives full provision for the sins of saints.

  11. These provisions are both preventive and curative; 1 John 2:1-2 is the key.

  12. 1 John 2:1a, relates to the prevention of sin in the believer’s life.

  13. 1 John 2:1b-2a, refers to the cure of sin in the believer’s life.

  14. These are not written to encourage any believer to sin; they are written so that we do not sin, or do not keep on sinning.

  15. Rom 6:1-2, “What shall we say then? Are we to continue in sin so that grace may increase? 2May it never be! How shall we who died to sin still live in it?”

  16. A son of God does not need to sin because: the Savior has died for him, Rom 6:1-14, he has a message written to him, 1 John 2:1-2, and he is indwelt by the Holy Spirit, Gal 5:16-18.

  17. It is the purpose of the Father that His children be free from sin, in order that He may have fellowship with them.1 John 1:3b

  18. The basis for which believers have fellowship with the Father, and His Son is specified in 1 John 1:7, “walking in the light” = The Balance of Residency.

  19. The Balance of Residency = Filling of the Holy Spirit via the confession of your sins plus max. Bible Doctrine in the soul ready for application = Experiential Sanctification.

  20. Believers must not say they have no sin nature, 1 John 1:8. That would be to deceive yourself.

  21. We also must not say we have not sinned, 1 John 1:10. That would be to make Him and His testimony to what is in man untrue.

  22. Yet, the believer who trusts in the sufficiency of the Spirit and is fulfilling every condition for enablement, he will be Divinely kept from sinning. Rom 6:14; 8:2; Gal 5:16

  23. Communion

  24. The Cup of Sanctification The Cup of Joy The Cup of Redemption The Cup of Completion

  25. They are simply letters that make up words. Each letter also expresses a symbolic concept. Each letter represents a mathematical value.

  26. Yod or yud: is a symbol representing hands. • Hey: means ‘behold’, ‘to show’ or ‘to reveal’. • Vav: signifies a nail, peg, or hook. It also conveys the meaning of being nailed or bound together. • Hey: puts emphasis on ‘behold’, ‘to show’ or ‘to reveal’. • YHWH Yod = 10 Divine perfection Hey = 5 Grace Vav = 6 sin or man Hey = 5 Grace

  27. His perfect hands graciously beheld the nails of mans' sin, BEHOLD HIS GRACE!

  28. 1 Corinthians 11:27-30, “Whoever, therefore, eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will be guilty concerning the body and blood of the Lord. 28Let a person examine himself, then, and so eat of the bread and drink of the cup. 29For anyone who eats and drinks without discerning the body eats and drinks judgment on himself. 30That is why many of you are weak and ill, and some have died.”

  29. 1 Corinthians 11:24 Amplified Bible (AMP) “Do this to call Me [affectionately] to remembrance.”

  30. To receive Christ is to be thankful for Christ.
