  2. Mission Mary Queen of Peace is a Catholic, Christian, Faith filled school providing an Arts-Integrated curriculum with strong academic excellence. Encouraging the success and development as students, artists and cultural leaders with a Beatitude focus.

  4. Vision Mary Queen of Peace is a community of learners from Pre-School through Eighth grade implementing art disciplines and the spirit of the Beatitudes within the lives of students, families, staff and the local community.

  5. Art Disciplines Mary Queen of Peace School of the Arts encourages the empowerment of each student by offering unique opportunities and talents to emerge. The curriculum is based on creative exploration for discovery through a variety of art disciplines required for graduation.

  6. Art Disciplines Each of the disciplines – Choir, Creative Arts,Dance,Drama, and Musicis consistent with the schools mission of developing the whole student. By teaching students to achieve a level of appreciation and competence then, deepening their understanding and knowledge while integrating other areas of academic study and excellence.

  12. SCHOOL UNIFORM POLICY • The intention of a uniform dress code is to aid in maintaining an atmosphere in the school that is conducive to the learning environment. The school is not responsible for any unauthorized items.

  13. SCHOOL UNIFORM POLICY • General: Boys and Girls • Shoes: non-marking black or white gym shoes. Students can wear boots on snowy or rainy days, but gym shoes need to be worn in the gym. • Socks: Plain solid white or solid black socks only • Belts: All belts must be solid black, and worn through loops at the waistline of shorts/pants.

  14. SCHOOL UNIFORM POLICY • Jewelry: Small post earrings are acceptable. Hoops and dangling earrings are notallowed. A small religious cross or medal is the only acceptable necklace allowed. One watch may be worn. Rings and bracelets are not permitted.

  15. SCHOOL UNIFORM POLICY • Purses: students are encouraged not to bring purses; however, if a students elects to bring a purse it must be kept either in the student’s locker or placed on the teacher’s desk.

  16. SCHOOL UNIFORM POLICY • Hair: Hair color must be natural. Rattail combs, do rags, scarves, head coverings, and picks in the hair are not allowed.

  17. SCHOOL UNIFORM POLICY • Personal Hygiene: Bringing skin care, hair care, nail care, and cosmetic products to school is not permitted.

  18. SCHOOL UNIFORM POLICY • Boys Pants: Black uniform pants are required. Pants are to be all cotton or cotton/poly fabrics. • During the first and fourth quarters of the school year, black uniform shorts will be permitted, and they must come to the knees. • Pants/shorts must be solid black with no stripes, markings, or logos.

  19. SCHOOL UNIFORM POLICY • Girls Pants: Black uniform pants are required. Pants are to be all cotton or cotton/poly fabrics. • During the first and fourth quarters of the school year, black uniform shorts will be permitted, and they must come to the knees. • Girls may wear capri, crop, or gauchos in first and fourth quarters. Shorts and skirts must come to the knees. • All shorts, skirts, capris must be cotton or cotton/poly blends. All must be solid black with no stripes, markings, or logos.

  20. SCHOOL UNIFORM POLICY • Shirts: White, red, or yellow shirts are required. Shirts must have a collar; they may be knit polo style, long or short sleeved. Undershirts must be plain white. • Sweaters: Plain solid black sweaters are the only color allowed. Solid black vests are acceptable, without logos. • Sweatshirts: Solid black, long-sleeved sweatshirts are allowed. They may be pullover or zipper style.
