  2. Main Aim for Remerge team • Allow Dialog to be non-anonymous without participants requiring to add their name each time. • Perhaps not show participants they are being tracked but presetting an iPad specifically for each user. • These changes will become part of the next version of Remerge.

  3. Setup • Some parts of the backend will need to be replaced. • /htdocs/common • /htdocs/dialog • /htdocs/control (new activity: settings) • /htdocs/settings • Participant information is in the same location as offlinereporter (so it MUST be there!) /offlinereporter/data.php.

  4. Settings #1 • Dialog has been modified to deal with the requirements. The way dialog works is controlled via a new ‘activity’ called settings. You can activate the icon the settings activity via the admin controller.

Settings #2 1 • There are 2 parts: • Dialog (global settings) • iPad specific settings • Dialog: • Anonymous: • Yes: normal dialog behaviour • No: iPad will be tracked, how this happens depends on the next settings • Identification: • Participant Selects Own Name:. A dropdown will appear in Dialog. This allows the participants to manage this part themselves: flexible (but they can ‘cheat’_ • Use the preset Participant info:. Use participant dropdown at the bottom. The value is set individually per iPad (not necessarily unique). • Show Tags in Answers: • Yes: available tracking information will be automatically added as text at the end of each answer. • No: the data is only stored in the backend (for post-analysis only at this point) • Ipad Specific Settings: • Sets the participant who will be using this iPad. (if a user changes this – by allowing them to select themselves this will also update! ). They are the same iPad –Unique ‘Variable’ 1 2 2

  6. Dialog Adjustments • This shows the view with • Anonymous: no, • Identification: Participant selects name. • All other views are just like Dialog • The dropdown option will be remembered between dialogs. • This is the same variable that the iPad Settings Participant Dropdown shows.
