  1. “The danger of making moral choices within the contexts of society” By: Brett A. Scott Date: February 19, 2013

  2. Question: • Can choices be made logically without morals? If so, how? If not, Why?

  3. Walden Text • “It appears as if men had deliberately chosen the common mode of living because they preferred it to any other. Yet they honestly think there is no choice left.” Page 3. • If we as humans, think that there is no choice left, then this would mean that not all choices have been presented to us. Because this is certainly not true.

  4. Inside Job • Deregulation was a choice, a choice that was thought to be the right one. Deregulation turned out to be one of the causes of our current recession. What was thought to be logical, turned out to be completely illogical. But some would disagree, for example; the one’s we trust with our money. So we need to understand that if deregulation is a cause of such economic problems, then this would also mean morals play a important role in decision making.

  5. Logic and Moral Dilemmas • E.F. Karavaev; St.-Petersburg State University, Russia EK1549@EK1549.spb.edu “Some suggest that all moral dilemmas result from some kind of inconsistencies in the moral rules. Unsolvable moral situations simply reflect implicit inconsistencies in our existing moral code. If we are to remain moral as well as logical, then we must restore consistency with our code.”
