What does it mean to be “media literate?” “To routinely ask the kinds of questions that will help you think critically about information presented in media (including the information from textbooks or the popular media used at home).” This also applies to information found on Internet websites. www.projectlooksharp.org

Credibility of Media Documents on the lnternet Document: any media example, including printed text, images, charts and graphs, podcasts, excerpts from documentary videos, advertisements, etc. • Authority – author or sponsor of the site. • Accuracy – reliable and error free information. • Objectivity – uninfluenced by emotions or personal prejudices. • Currency – belonging to the present time. • Coverage - the extent or degree to which something is observed, • analyzed, and reported. • www.projectlooksharp.org

  4. What is the Digestion Suggestion project requiring you to do? Step 4: Research any known remedies for the symptoms your child is experiencing. This will include prescription, over-the-counter, and home remedies. You will be looking at various types of media to determine the best suggestions for the child. Step 6: Create a Glogster or video commercial that advertises your remedy by explaining what it does and how it does it.
