Your Turn! • Select 1 object from Komunyakaa's poem that you can clearly picture in your head. • Take out a pen and paper and write answers to the following questions about one object in a short phrase: • What does it look like? (Ex: Rough with bits of color) • What does it look like at night? • What feeling does that object give you? • Describe the place where you would find it. • Describe the first time you saw that object. • What would your life be like without that object • Describe how you will use that object in the future.
