  2. #1 Check the Connections • You should check your connections every time you move your computer.

  3. #2 Empty the Recycle Bin • Computer users need to empty their Recycle Bins weekly. • Located on the top left corner of the desktop

  4. #3 Run Disk Defragmenter • Best to perform monthly • To find disk defragmenter click start, then all programs, accessories, system tools, and then Disk Defragmenter

  5. #4 Clean the screens • Everyone should clean their computer screens every time they use their computer.

  6. #5 Change Passwords • Change passwords monthly

  7. #6 Update the anti-virus software • Update your anti-virus software every year

  8. #7 Bring that can of air • Blow the dust and debris from your keyboard every other week

  9. #8 Clean the keyboard • Clean keyboard every other week

  10. #9 Run Disk Cleanup • Perform monthly • Click start, all programs, accessories, system tools, then Disk Cleanup

  11. #10 Confirm that backups are being done • Perform weekly • Use the Task Scheduler to help with this. • Click the start button, all programs ,accessories, system tools, then Task Scheduler
