  1. TIBET By Injiya Crawford

  2. WEATHER • The usual weather in Tibet is usually rather cold at an average temperature of 48 degrees.

  3. INTRODUCTION • Where and when Tibet got started The empire of Tibet started in Central Asia in Circa 1063 B.C

  4. Criterion A • The Area Of Interaction that in my opinion best fits my project is Approach To Learning. Approach To Learning is the best choice because I am teaching other students about Tibet so that they can have a better understanding on this region of China. The second best topic is Community service because I am helping the people that don’t know about the region more about it. • I will use my AOI by making sure I find out everything possible about the region so that I can help the others.

  5. Sources • 1. http://www.friends-of-tibet.org.nz/occu.html • 2. http://www.nytimes.com/2008/03/18/opinion/18tue3.html • 3. http://www.index-china.com/index-english/Tibet-s.html • 4. http://www.index-china.com/index-english/Tibet-s.html • 5. my teacher/books.

  6. The task asked of me and what I expect • The final task asked of me is to make sure I give correct information and turn in a complete. I expect for everyone to be ready to learn when I have to present so that they will know everything about the region. In class I want to be able to do research and a bibliography and the essay. At home I want to do design and everything else. I will learn some other languages. I expect the outcome to be everyone learning something different about a different language.

  7. My 100 word essay • MY PROJECT IS GOING TO BE ON THE HEALTH CARE IN TIBET. I CHOSE THIS BECAUSE I THOUGHT THAT THESE ARE THE THINGS THAT THE PEOPLE IN AMERICA DON’T REALLY EVER THINK ABOUT. I ALSO CHOSE THIS SUBJECT IN THIS REGION BECAUSE I AM VERY ITERESTED IN IT. I AM INTERESTED IN IT BECAUSE IT HAS MANY UNIQUE THINGS ABOUT IT. THE LAST REASON I CHOSE IT WAS BECAUSE NOT MANY PEOPLE I TALKED TO WERE DOING THIS REGION OR THE TOPIC OF THE REGION I AM DOING.THESE ARE THE REASONS THAT I CHOSE THE HEALTH CARE OR THE REGION TIBET.

  8. My stamp • MY stamp was a serenge because one of the major problems in Tibet is health care

  9. My timeline • In 1980 china introduces door reforms and boost investment • 1988 China imposes martial law • 1989 The Dali Lana is awarded Nobel prize • 1993 Talks between China and Dali Lana breakdown • 1995 Tibet police place 6 yr old on house arrest • 2002 Connect between Dali and Beijing are resumed • 2006 A new railroad connects Lasa and china • 2007 The Dali Lana hint at a war out break • 2007 December The number of tourist traveling to Tibet hit a record. • 2008 A protest end up in a riot.

  10. Why I chose my costume • I chose the costume I chose because this is what almost everyone in Tibet wears. I am mostly just going to wear a red shirt because that is the color of china.

  11. Culture and what they are known for • My region is mostly known for its religion and culture. The religion that the Tibetan people practice is Buddhism. Most of their culture is shown by the food they eat. In Tibet they drink jasmine tea.
