4. Role of the RIEPs National Improvement and Efficiency Strategy (NIES) December 2007: The NWIEP established in response to the National Strategy to drive the regions ambitions for excellence through improvement and efficiency.
Regional, sector led improvement support: Devolved funding to support sector led improvement and efficiency to the nine English regions. 185m over 3 years.
Merger of the Improvement Networks and Regional Centres of Excellence: to form NWIEP
