  2. Targets • A successful digital storytelling project requires an organized approach. • Target A:I will create a document management scheme to organize my files. • Target B: I will organize files within directories with naming conventions so I can find them easier.

  3. Storytelling Assets • You will be collecting a variety of files for your project including: • Images • Audio • Slides • Video • Soundtracks

  4. Supported File Formats • Movie Maker supports for following file formats for importing files: • Video files: .asf, .avi, .wmv • Movie files: MPEG1, .mpeg, .mpg, .m1v, .mp2 • Audio files: .wav, .snd, .au, .aif, .aifc, .aiff • Windows Media files: .asf, .wm, .wma, .wmv • Still images: .bmp, .jpg, .jpeg, .jpe, .jfif, .gif • MP3 format audio: .mp3 Note: Always include the file extension (e.g., .jpg, wmv, mp3) in your document name!

Naming Conventions • Use the following naming conventions when saving files for your digital story • RawImages = [ImageDescription.jpg] or ImageMomSitting.jpg • FinalImages = [ImageDescription.jpg] or ImageCatTable.jpg • Soundtrack [AudioDescription.wmv] or AudioLulliby.wav • Titles [SlideDescription.jpg] orSlideHighSchool.jpg • Video [VidDescription.wmv] orVidbeach.wmv • Voiceover [VoiceDescription.wav]VoiceIntroduction.wav

Keep Your Assets Organized Create eight (8) subdirectories/folders in your English directory, as follows: English (1) ThemeYourlastnameDSProj (example: DeathReincarnationTorriseDSProj) (2) ProjectFile (3) RawImages (4) FinalImages (5) Soundtrack (6) TitleSlides (7) Video (8) Voiceover Note: Don’t include the (numbers) 
