  3. Mississippi introduction The Mississippi river starts in United States of America (aka USA) in State Itasca Lake in Clearwater. The Mississippi stretches for an unbelievable 3,734metres long! The Mississippi runs through Louisiana, Mississippa, Arkansas, Tennessee, Kentucky, Missouri.

  4. Daring exploresmartin strel Martin Strel, a Slovenian swimmer who is famous for swimming the entire length of the river just over 68 days in 2002.
