AEGEE’s History 1985: Foundation at the first EGEE conference in Paris 1987: Thanks to AEGEE’s extensive advocacy, the ERASMUS Programme is established 1988: Launch of the Summer University Project 1989: Opening of AEGEE towards the East (East-West Working Group/ “Quo Vadis?”-Project 1996: Headquarters move to Brussels 2004: Turkey joins the ERASMUS Programme thanks to the advocacy of AEGEE-Istanbul and AEGEE-Ankara 2009 & 2013 : YOUropeNeeds YOU and Europe on Track wins Charlemagne Youth Prize for best project AEGEE-Europe / European Students' Forum
