  6. colony A new settlement or territory established and governed by a country in another land

  7. Borderlands land located on or near a frontier or boundary

  8. Seven Cities of Cibola Legend there are seven cities fabulously rich with streets and houses decorated with gold and jewels somewhere in North America

  9. missionaries People who travel to a territory or community in order to make converts to their religion

  10. trappers Adventurers who capture and kill animals—such as bear, rabbit etc… for fur

  11. Lost Colony of Roanoke Founded by Sir Walter Raleigh and Indians welcomed them—however ran out of food and supplies—colony disappeared. Remains a mystery!
