  4. The Making of the Modern Mind • Counter Movements to the Enlightenment • Reformation [rejection of control of the Roman Church and emphasis on Scripture of the masses] • Renaissance [man is capable of achieving anything and experiencing everything i.e., Michelangelo and Leonardo DaVinci]
